Ma'an Jerusalem – The Israeli Prime Minister remains in the same condition Friday morning that he was Thursday afternoon. Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital, Director General Professor Shlomo Mor-Yosef described that condition as, ‘critical, yet stable.’
The Israeli Prime Minister remains heavily anesthetized and under respiration in order to keep cranial pressure as low as possible. Sharon underwent an approximate 10 hours of brain surgery after his second hemorrhage in two weeks.
Regardless of whether Sharon lives or dies, most have called an official end to his political career. Ehud Olmert, the Deputy Prime Minister, immediately took over his duties and the Netanyahu said the Likud would remain united with the government through this period.
What will happen in Palestine remains to be seen, although more of the same is expected by a number of Palestinians interviewed throughout Thursday. No one is sorry to see the man go after all he has done against the Palestinian people and their land, but at the same time no wants to see the situation to deteriorate even further should someone with more extreme politics take Sharon's place.
