Elections Commission personnel agree to work at strictly administrative capactiy up to PLC elections


Ma'an Gaza – The Central Elections Commission held a meeting with representatives of Palestinian factions in Ramallah on Thursday. The meeting was connected to factional representatives in Gaza City by means of video conference equipment.

Participants discussed political developments in Palestine, paying particular attention to issues connected to the elections.

The meeting followed massive resignations within the Central Elections Commission in protest of a decision by the Palestinian Council of Ministers to allow security personnel to vote inside Palestinian military instillations.

The Commission pledged to continue working in an administrative capacity until the 25 January Palestinian Legislative Council Elections.
