Independent Palestine head, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi, challenged Israeli restrictions in Jerusalem this morning by travelling to the holy city for prayers at the Al Asqa mosque on the first day of the Muslim “Eid Al Adha” feast.
Dr. Barghouthi was arrested in the city one week ago under Israel’s proposed ban on voting and campaigning in East Jerusalem for upcoming Legislative elections.
He stated that Israeli restrictions on travel to Jerusalem will not prevent him from seeking entry to the city time and again, and that he will continue to challenge such measures.
