Palestinian Interior Minister unveils PLC election security plan

Ma'an Gaza – The Palestinian Minister of the Interior, Nasser Yousef, said that the Ministry completed a security plan for the Palestinian Legislative Council elections. The plan, according to Yousef, will involve transferring the leadership of security forces to district governors.

Yousef said that district governors approved the plan.

The Minister denied the existence of any agreement with Israel regarding security protocol for the elections. He said, 'Elections in the West Bank and Gaza will face several problems, including Israeli aggressions and limits on free movement through the area.' He noted that in the West Bank, Israel will limit the movement of Palestinian security forces to inside certain districts.
