Israeli forces kill 2 Palestinians in southern Jenin village, including Sariya Al Quds leader

Jenin (Ma'an) - Israeli forces killed two members of an armed resistance group in Araba Village south of Jenin Tuesday afternoon.

Included among them is 27 year old Sariya Al Quds leader in the West Bank, Nidal Abu Sada. The Israelis have attempted to assassinated him several times over the past few years, claiming he is ‘wanted.’

Israeli also killed 22 year old Mohammad Tobasi from Jenin Refugee Camp. The Israelis accused him of resistance activities against Israeli targets. Three of his brothers are in Israeli prisons, including Said Tubasi, sentenced to 28 times life. His other two imprisoned brothers are Sulieman and Mohammad.

According to Israeli military sources, in addition to killing two members of Sariya Al Quds, the armed resistance wing of Islamic Jihad, Israeli forces besieged a home with another Palestinian inside.

The Israelis began invading the northern West Bank village early Tuesday afternoon. The Israeli military reports that the incursion began with undercover forces opening fire on a house with resistance members inside who returned the fire.

The Israelis had also claimed early on that after killing the first Palestinian, an unknown person remained inside the besieged home and continued to return their fire.

Eyewitnesses reported two Israeli helicopters circled the area throughout the afternoon.

All women had been evacuated from the home as of Tuesday evening and Israeli forces were inside.

An Israeli soldier was severely injured after being shot in the head.
