Israel closes Sofa Crossing

Khan Younis (Ma'an) – Israeli forces closed Sofa crossing in the Gaza Strip Monday afternoon for 'security reasons.'

A Ma'an reporter in the area said that Israel did not provide any specific details about the nature of the closing, though the Israeli Yedioth Aharnoth website reportsthat a number of weapons were found in a truck at the crossing.

Sofa crossing is used the transport goods between Egypt, Palestine, and Israel. It reopened only last week following a closure of over a month.
