Ramallah: A delegation of representatives from the Independent Palestine coalition met with President Mahmoud Abbas in his Ramallah headquarters today. The delegation consisted of newly elected parliamentarian, Mustafa Barghouthi, together with fellow coalition members, Allam Jarrar, Mohammad Abousheh, Raja Shehadeh, and Eyad Masroujeh. MP and Independent Palestine member, Rawia Al-Shawa of Gaza, was unable to attend the meeting due to the difficulties of travelling between the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The meeting addressed the first session of the new legislative council held on Saturday and the formation of a cabinet, as well as the coalition’s political, social and economic agenda.
