2 Killed, 1 Wounded in Israeli Airstrike 2 hours

Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a car carrying a Palestinian rocket squad Saturday, killing two 'militants' and seriously wounding a third, the army and Palestinian medics said.

The army said troops had observed members of a militant group, the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, firing a rocket toward Israel. After the 'militants' got into a car and drove away from the launching site, they were struck by missiles, the army said. Al Aqsa is a violent offshoot of the Fatah Party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The two dead 'militants' were identified as Mahmoud Ajour and Sami Abu Shariya from Al Aqsa.

They were on their way back from northern Gaza when their white car was struck by two missiles near a cemetery east of Gaza City, witnesses said. The car was completely burned.

The strike came a day after Israeli aircraft fired missiles into a car in southern Gaza, killing five people, including a 7-year-old boy.
