Ramallah-Ma'an-Israeli forces broke into the centre of Ramallah on Wednesday afternoon after Palestinian citizens in the city discovered that a group of Israeli Special Forces ('Mestariveem' or 'Must'aribeen', soldiers disguised as Palestinians) were in the city. Fierce confrontations broke out between Palestinian citizens and the Israeli forces near Al-Manara in the centre of Ramallah; four Palestinian men were killed and dozens injured during the clashes.
More Israeli military jeeps and vehicles arrived to reinforce the Israeli soldiers and shots were fired randomly.
According to reports, one of the Israeli Special Forces was also injured in the clashes.
Thursday has been announced as a day of mourning in the Palestinian territories for the four killed.
