Gaza-Ma'an-The French humanitarian organization, 'Médécins du Monde', has decided to donate medical supplies and medicines to the two main Palestinian governmental hospitals, Ash-Shifa'a Hospital in Gaza City and Rafidiya Hospital in Nablus, in order to offset the emergency humanitarian situation that the Palestinian people have been experiencing since the declaration of the US and the European countries to suspend direct financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.
In a statement, the organization said that the stopping of aids has increased the deterioration of the health conditions in the Palestinian territories; this has been exacerbated by the shortage of medicines in the hospitals and the breakdown of the network of medical suppliers and distributors.
The organization said that its decision came on the basic of neutrality and independence, indicating that it will purchase these medicines from its own funds.
