Ma'an-Secretary-General of the Arab League Amir Moussa met with Malaysian Foreign Minister Hamid Al Bar on Sunday in the Malaysian Capital Kuala Lampur. They discussed the political developments in Palestine, the blockade imposed on the Palestinian people, the efforts of the Arab League to deliver aid to the Palestinian people and the outcome of the meeting in Brussels.
The Brussels meeting was held to discuss ways to create a new mechanism to transfer aids and followed the recent suggestion by the Quartet that such a mechanism was necessary.
Hamid Al Bar said that Malaysia would give US $16 million in aid to the Palestinian people with for the development of infrastructure in Palestine and to support special projects that are of benefit to the Palestinian people.
