Gaza - Ma‘an - Palestinian medical sources have, on Saturday, reported that Israeli military forces have prevented two Palestinian boys, shot near the wall in the North Gaza Strip governorate, from being taken to hospital for treatment.
Relief staff were eventually able to transfer the victims to the Kamal ‘Udwan hospital after a critical delay of one hour. The director of the ambulance and emergencies service within the Palestinian ministry of health, Dr Mu‘awiya Abu Hasanein announced that the victims were: Yousif Salim Hjouj and Muhammad Tawfiq Abu Hasheesh, aged 16.
The boys were shot in their feet by Israeli soldiers, while the pair were out hunting.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces apprehended three Palestinians near the electronic fence in the northern Gaza Strip, claiming that they were attempting to infiltrate into Israel.
