Nablus - Ma‘an - The Israeli occupation forces re-invaded the West Bank city of Nablus on Friday night from many directions and took up positions in the old city.
Palestinian medical sources said that three Palestinians had been injured in confrontations which erupted in the city after the Israeli forces had invaded. One man was identified as being 19 years old while the other two men have not been identified. The three men were injured in Qeisariya neighbourhood of Nablus.
Three other Palestinians were arrested including two brothers, our reporter in Nablus reported. He added that more than 40 Israeli military vehicles stormed Nablus, accompanied with Israeli military bulldozers. They invaded the city from the south, from the direction of Huwwara, and targeted Al-Quds street amid intense gunfire. The Palestinian security sources had informed him that the operation was concentrated on the Ras Al Ain area and the Qariyoun neighbourhood of the old city.
This Israeli army‘s ‘Operation Hot Winter‘ in Nablus has been ongoing since last Sunday, with a brief interlude on Tuesday. The operation has been described by analysts in the Israeli mass media news as a complete failure, as the goals of the operation, set out by the army generals, have not been achieved. The Israeli army has been searching for ‘wanted‘ operatives of Palestinian armed factions but it has failed to capture the most wanted, instead arresting dozens of other Palestinian youths.
