Gaza - Ma‘an - The assistant undersecretary in the information ministry, Dr. Hassan Abu Hashish, has said that the continued abduction of the British journalist, Alan Johnston, constitutes an unacceptable deficiency in the security, national, and political fields.
In a statement for Ma‘an, Abu Hashish expressed the ministry‘s concern about Johnston‘s continued abduction, describing it as demeaning to the feelings, rights, and religious and national dimensions of the Palestinian people, and contrary to the meanings of tolerance and humanity, which he said are genuine qualities of the Palestinian people.
Abu Hashish assured that the abduction and its continuation demands comprehensive action from all the security bodies and an exit from the ‘unjustified state of deficiency and silence‘.
