Jenin - Ma‘an - One Palestinian was killed and two injured during clashes with the Israeli forces near in the West Bank city of Jenin early on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, a young Palestinian man died from wounds he sustained during Israeli artillery bombardment of the northern Strip on Wednesday. Four other Palestinians were also injured during the Israeli military bombardment of the area.
Palestinian sources in Jenin, in the north of the occupied West Bank, reported that Ahmed Ibrahim ‘Asa‘sa, 16, was killed by a bullet in the head during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the village of Ash-Shuhada, located south of Jenin, early on Thursday. Two other Palestinians were injured during the confrontations.
Our correspondent in Jenin said that the Israeli forces also broke into the house of Rabi‘ ‘Asa‘sa, an activist in the Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Brigades, but he managed to escape. The correspondent added that the Israeli forces arrested his brother, Amjad ‘Asa‘sa.
On the other hand, in Gaza, medical sources announced that Saber Ahmed Abu Wardeh, 20, died on Thursday at dawn from wounds he sustained during the Israeli artillery bombardment of the As-Sudaniya area in the north of the Gaza Strip.
Four Palestinians were also injured in the bombardment, which appeared to target a car near the As-Sudaniya area. Two of the injured were described as suffering from dangerous wounds while the other two were described as having ‘moderate‘ injuries.
Sources reported that they were members of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad.
