Ramallah, 16/04/2008: Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi MP, Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative, met former US President Jimmy Carter yesterday in Ramallah to discuss the situation in Palestine and the need to protect Palestinian democracy and restore Palestinian unity.
Dr. Barghouthi praised Jimmy Carter’s stance on the conflict and declared that “Jimmy Carter is showing the way that the international community should follow to put an end to the occupation and achieve a real and lasting peace”.
