Ramallah, 03-08-08: Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi MP, the General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, today telephoned the people on board the Free Gaza ships to express his full support and solidarity. Said Dr Barghouthi "I commend the group of international solidarity activists onboard the ships for their important campaign to raise awareness, and confirm that we are all part of the same movement to break the siege together". Dr Barghouthi has been an outspoken critic of the siege on Gaza and has made countless calls for it to be ended immediately.
Dr Barghouthi has made the siege on Gaza a key priority in his numerous meetings with foreign delegations and diplomatic representatives.
