As the resolution to adopt the Goldstone Report was passed at the UN Human Rights Council, Dr Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative welcomed the endorsement of the Report.
“Israel cannot continue its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people” – declared Dr Barghouti from Geneva while following the results of the vote. “The today vote represents a step forwards holding Israeli military and political structure accountable to international and international humanitarian law” – reaffirmed Barghouti.
“The Goldstone Report’s endorsement” – continued Dr Barghouti, who intervened during the today vote recounting the international crimes that he had witnessed as a doctor in Palestine – “is a victory for the Palestinian people, for Palestinian human rights and for the respect of the international law.”
