Israel Onslaught against Palestinian Freedom of Press Attempt to "Silence Palestinian Voices"

The Israeli army attacked 5 TV and 2 radio stations in Nablus, in the West Bank in the early hours of this morning. At 2am, soldiers invaded the premises of the 7 private media outlets and seized computers, broadcasting equipment, archives and files. The TV stations Afaq, Nablus, Gamma, Assia and Sana, as well as 2 radio stations, are now effectively shut down.

Amid renewed Palestinians efforts for calm, Gaza under Israeli fire once more

Minister of Information and Spokesperson of the Government Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi stressed at a press conference held today in Ramallah that all Palestinians must work together to prevent a renewed outbreak of internal fighting. He warned that a collapse of civil order in the Gaza Strip could spell the breakdown of the Palestinian Authority itself.
