Palestinian National Initiative head, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi MP, again condemned the kidnappers of Alan Johnston following the release of a videotape in which Johnston appeared wearing an explosive belt, and called on them to immediately release Mr. Johnston safe and unharmed.

One Palestinian was killed and three wounded on Monday night as they attempted to flee the Gaza Strip through Erez Crossing. The Israeli forces opened fire on the crowds that were trying to escape Hamas-controlled Gaza into Israel.
